Arrive at Zurich Airport. Take a train to arrive at Zermatt via Visp. Zermatt is a mountain resort with the best views of the world’s most picturesque mountain peaks Matterhorn and Gornergrat. Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse is lined with boutique shops, hotels and restaurants, and also has a lively après-ski scene. Overnight in Zermatt.
At an altitude of 3,089m, visit Gornergrat, Switzerland's top excursion destinations since 1898. Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Rest of day at your leisure. Overnight in Zermatt.
Today you board the Glacier Express, which is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Zermatt to St.Moritz. An 8 hour railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 meters in altitude. Travel in comfort through the unspoilt natural beauty of a landscape. Today you travel with the Bernina Express of the Rhaetian Railway along the UNESCO World Heritage route. Enjoy an Alpine switchback ride, taking you from a land of towering glaciers to one of swaying palms. It has two legs of journey, first you travel by train until you reach Tirano. The second leg is a bus journey from Tirano to Lugano. Overnight in Lugano.
Today you visit Swissminiatur, located in Melide, a 7 minute train ride from Lugano, in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Spanning an area of 14,000 sqm the park boasts of more than 120 miniature models of all the Swiss attractions like the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, the Chapel Bridge, Chillon Castle, cathedrals and other buildings of Switzerland. Check out and take the train via Gotthard base tunnel to arrive at Zurich. Check-in and leave to visit Lindt - Home of Chocolate. This morning take train to Neuhausen, and further connect to a short bus ride in order to arrive at Rhine Falls. The Rhine Falls is only 23 meters high but has an impressive width of 150 meters, and an average of 25000 cubic feet of water per second (700m3/sec) plunge over the falls in summer. Experience boat ride to have a closer look of Rhine Falls. Overnight in Zurich.
