Arrive at Zurich airport and take train to Montreux via Lausanne. Check-in, rest for a while and then leave to visit Chillon Castle (included in Swiss Travel Pass). Chillon Castle is one of Europe’s most fascinating castles, on the shores of Lake Geneva right at the foot of the Alps,facing the lake. Overnight in Montreux.
Board 90 mins boat cruise to Lausanne. Arrive at Lausanne and visit the Olympic Museum (included in Swiss Travel Pass). The Olympic Museum has 3000 m2 of exhibition space, over 1500 exhibits, 150 screens. Spend some time in the city and then take train back to Montreux. Overnight in Montreux.
Check out from the hotel. Experience the Golden Pass Line from Montreux to Gstaad.Deposit your luggage in the cloak Room at Gstaad and take the bus to reach Col du Pillon.Take the cable car to reach Glacier 3000. Enjoy the Peak Walk by Tissot, only suspended bridge connecting two peaks, the Ice Express, the Glacier Walk etc. Return to Gstaad train station and leave for Interlaken. Arrival in Interlaken by train and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Interlaken.
Excursion from Interlaken to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. The highest railway station in Europe is located 3454 m/11’333 ft. It allows you to admire the viewing platforms on the Aletsch Glacier or in the Ice Palace. The railway journey to the Jungfraujoch is an experience which leads through the Mountain Peaks Eiger and the Mönch. Overnight in Interlaken.
Check out and take the train to Zermatt. Arrive and keep your luggage in the hotel. With its sunny observation platform accessible all year long, the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3,089m. Board the cogwheel railway up to the Gornergrat, with views of the majestic Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and other spectacular summits. Overnight in Zermatt.
Day trip to Aletsch Arena region. Take a direct train from Zermatt to Mörel (19th Apr - 5th Jun2020) and Zermatt to Fiesch (1st Jan - 18th Apr & 6th Jun - 25th Oct 2020), the main station in Aletsch Arena. Take the cable car to the Hohfluh at 2227m or Eggishorn Mountain at 2,869 meters and to enjoy the first spectacular 360° panoramic view on the 23km long Aletsch Arena and its mountains. Spend 3 - 4 hours in the lap of nature and then return back to Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.
Check out from the hotel and board the Glacier Express train which is one of the greatest train journeys in the world. You travel from Zermatt to Chur. A 5.5 hrs railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys. De-board the train at Chur and take train to Zurich. Overnight in Zurich.
Return to any Swiss border or Swiss airport or continue your stay in Switzerland on your own.
